Small Changes, Big Money: How to Make Small Money into Fortune

Have we ever thought of how much money did we already have in our entire career, of years of working so hard, day in and day out?

Is it hundreds of thousands? Is it millions? Try to compute how much.

Now that you have an idea of how much in estimate. Try figuring out, how much goes to where and when. If you have a budget list that would be easy. But if you didn’t track your expenses, you might get baffled by all the numbers.

Earning a million is easy if you know how to. It would only take discipline to reach a million.

Yes, DISCIPLINE. Not some flashy ideas nor big business plans and many other complicated notions in becoming a millionaire. In fact, you don’t need to be a genius. Everyone can become a multi-millionaire.

Let me show you how.

Invest Php 1,000 every month, put it in a mutual fund that earns 12% per year. Do it for the next 25 years  and you will have Php 1,804,007.

In just another year you will be a multi-millionaire. Woohoo!

You think that’s easy? If you do, congratulations. You have a winner’s mindset.

But giving up Php 1,000 every month for the next 25 years is hard for some people. Some people live in a 110% .The very notion of doing it for 25 years don’t have an impact on them. They want it now and they want it badly. That’s the reason why it would be hard for them.

Now, you know how to make that million. The question is how can you make that Php 1,000 every month or how can you make more out of that information. Do you want to have Php 10 Million? Php 20 Million?

What if you can save more from some of your unnecessary expenses? Don’t you think it would count if you invest those?

Let’s see.

Expense Quantity Monthly Savings
Soda drinks  3 cans per day @ Php 30 each Php 2,700
Lunch Out Everyday – Php 200 per meal Php 4,000
Cigarettes 1 pack per day Php 3,000
Weekly Gimik with friends 4 times a month Php 2,000
  Total Expense Php 9,000

Sodas are not necessary right? So you could just drink water for the rest of your life. Or drink soda from time to time, not every day. After all, it’s not really good for health.

Lunch out? You can bring food. Put a plan on how you can do it. I’m sure you will get a hang of it or look for an alternative if you really can’t do it.

Cigarettes? I’m sure you know you can save from those. Start eliminating it and you’ll see a difference in your life and in your wallet.

Weekly gimik? There are better ways to spend time with friends by not spending cash too. If there are instances that you really need to spend then do so, but I’m sure you don’t need to do that every time.

There are more ways to save. Like in transportation, electricity, water, rent, internet and many more. I mean, just be creative. You don’t have to spend on everything. Create a cash surplus and make them work for you. Sell stuff that you don’t need.

These are just some of the expense that you might want to consider. If you look at it, you could have saved Php 9,000 more. Invest that again and maybe in 5 years time you are already a millionaire or forget about that and continue investing for the next 25 years and you will have a staggering Php 18,040,072.

I’m sure you have some expense that you can refrain from spending with. I’m not saying that you live a hermit life but if you could come up with a plan on how to spend your money, I’m sure you will retire with more than just a million and you could make that money work for you to live comfortably in your golden years.

Be disciplined enough to follow your plan.
